I still have my basketball legs. I have been trying too hard, too quick. It's kind of a work in progress right now. ... We're about a month behind.

I'm proud of the guys. We could've kind of tanked it after losing six and stuck our heads between our legs and said, 'This one is over.' But we continued to work hard.

It took awhile to get his legs under him. We're seeing over the last month the kind of pitcher he is.

We have an outstanding group of kids this season. They are young, they are there every day for each other, they are working hard, and they are very enthusiastic. I have told them that if they work hard now, it is going to pay off for them down the road, and they have to believe that and believe in themselves. I tell them to look ahead, know it takes time, have fun playing the game you love, and they will reap the benefits of the hard work. This is a great group of kids.

It's hard to say a month out what your league deserves, but we've got six teams playing pretty good basketball. This last month is going to be interesting for our league like it is for all leagues, but when it's all said and done, we'll have a number of teams that deserve attention.
