It was great. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I learned a lot of football from Tom Coughlin and the other coaches I was able to work with. Any time you're locked up in the bottom of a stadium for 16 hours a day, you better absorb something.

I think Coughlin is still stuck in an era, in a generation that he needs to get out of because guys are truly not responding to his methods.

Deion Sanders (1967-)

The best news is that he has all of his hours in to be a pilot, but the only thing he has to do is take a three- to-four-hour test, and he doesn't have time to do it until after football season. He's pretty locked on the ground until football season is over, at the least in the flying sense.

I would say the difference between Coughlin and a guy like Marty was Coughlin took it a little beyond the football field,

The stadium was absolutely amazing. It was great. We got to run out on the field after our name was called. I was so pumped up that I wanted to run out of the stadium while the others ran about 10 yards. I can't complain about the coaches. My mother thought the trip was great also.

In San Antonio, coaches were telling me what a great person Eddie was to work with, and that was just a week. He's got better as a football player, but he's been a great person all the time.

We're trying to incorporate all the areas of the game. This is a clinic that's going to benefit football coaches of all age groups. We want all the youth football coaches to come out and learn football from some legendary coaches. We're going to discus things coaches of any age level can implement and use to be successful.

I've had a long career in the NBA and have enjoyed my experience. I look forward to retirement life. It doesn't mean I am not going to stay busy, but it's time to move on and accomplish some of the other goals that I have set for myself. It's been a great time. Tiger Stadium is another level. Our fans are great. Our fans are very supportive, but down there they're wild. They get up for football regardless of who they're playing, regardless of what time it is, but especially at night. They stay up all day to prepare for kickoff. They're probably the loudest. They're probably as loud in pregame as they're going to be in the fourth quarter. They just love their football down there.

Even though I work 60 hours a week, I still find the time to exercise. The bottom line is that it's really worth it.

We started off with losses to two very good football teams, but we told the boys, 'One game at a time,' and that's the way we're approaching it. They're getting better every week. Our kids work really had and they absorb everything we're trying to teach them. I'm probably the happiest 2-2 coach in the state of Michigan.
