We probably needed to take some more shots down the field.

We were definitely nervous coming out tonight. Our focus wasn't quite there, and we needed to make some shots. In the second half, we had a nice run, but we needed to have a couple more shots fall for us.

When you've got corners that are not starters you want to go after them, ... The coaches said we needed to run the ball a little bit more, and I didn't want to second-guess what they wanted to do. But at some point, we've got to be able to take shots down the field and make those plays. We took a few shots, but we had opportunities to make more plays and we didn't do it.

We needed a game like this and not another 30-point blowout. We missed a lot of easy shots and shot only 38 percent from the field, but I was happy to see our girls keep their composure.

They made some big shots. They did what they needed to do to win the game. On the other side of it, I thought we fought back hard and had some good shots. Our shots, they didn't go down.

We needed a burst. Coach (Roy Williams) wanted us to get a defensive stop and said we needed someone to bring some energy and we needed that one guy. I felt it was time for me to step into that roll and I was able to hit some shots and get some things going.

It needed to be a total team effort. We couldn't have just one end of the field doing what it needed to do -- we needed both ends doing it.

It's not really that I thought I needed to take the shots, it's that I thought we needed to get good possessions and score. Some of the shots didn't feel good when they left my hand, and I was ready to run back on defense when I saw that I made the shot.

It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. Considering everything we are going through right now, we needed this game. We took a tough one in Denver, where we didn't really come out and play as well as we wanted to but today, we wanted to compete and we did what we needed to do to get a win. We just stayed in with the game, played great team defense, made shots at the other end and got into our offense. We were able to get the shots we wanted.

Give them credit. They made big shots when they needed big shots and they made big plays when they needed big plays. We had a chance to win but didn't get a good shot.

We've been struggling to make outside shots and we need to make outside shots to play our inside-out game and Kyle stepped up and made the outside shots we needed.

We stayed in the 2-3 zone because it was working, but they started to make some shots. You're going to give up shots playing in a zone. They made some shots when they needed to.

We sent vertical guys down field. Missing a player like Walker, there will always be a what-if. But we still should have been able to win this game.

We didn't make shots, but a lot of credit to Hartford. They were hungry for a win and needed one. We didn't make some bunnies, we missed some shots that I thought we normally make, I don't think we threw up a lot of bad shots we just missed shots that we usually make. They did a nice job on us. I knew this was a bee's nest coming into tonight.
