We just weren't there. This team has been through a lot, but we've had some pretty significant wins in the last 12 games.

At the beginning of the year, I was pitching pretty decent but I wasn't getting the wins. Now, I'm getting the wins and helping the team win games.

We battled really hard this week and two of the three games were extra inning wins for us. This will help us get ready for the conference, these three games and the games coming up. The first few games we had weren't tough games for us.

This is not the end of our playoff run, and this is not the end of this team. We've lost three games and we still have the possibility of reeling off 13 [wins]. We're going to put some wins together. We're going to win over 11 games this year. Being 0-3 doesn't mean anything. We've still got 13 games left.

Even throughout this season I've had up and downs, ... But I feel pretty good right now. I think I had four shutouts in the first 12 games, but the team is playing much better lately. And that's a big difference why we are winning some games. The shutouts are just luck. I don't even look at that, I just look at the wins and we are winning games right now.

I was hoping to get wins early because I knew it would get harder later. Then we lost the first two. I think the team did a pretty good job. Our biggest fear was the health of our team, and we got banged up. That's fairly typical when you play that many games in that many days.

Coach hit on that the other day. He said we have three wins and the team in fifth place has five wins. Everybody wants to get that high seed. Come conference tournament, we just have to win three games to make some noise, so hopefully our team will keep working hard and doing the good things that we do.

It's not really on my mind right now. I'm focused on what we have to do as a team. We got off to a slow start, we had some close games, but we got wins, which is positive. Now we're playing pretty well, and we want to keep building on what we've done and keep getting better.

We weren't looking to do anything significant. Why do something significant? I think we've got five, six, seven players on our team that can play better. ... I still think as a team and individually, we can raise our game. His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. So, again, why look to make a major overhaul at this stage of the game?

I think tonight we weren't sharp at all. I think pretty much every guy on the field passed the ball out of bounds tonight. I think every team goes through games like that. It's just disappointing that it came against a team we could and should have beaten.

Anytime you hold a team to seven second-half points, you've got to be pretty happy as a coach. When we fell behind in the first quarter, we had to go back to what wins ball games for us, and that's our defense.

The team that wins two-thirds of its one run games usually wins the pennant.

Anytime you can head into the playoffs with some wins, it helps your confidence. Even though we weren't getting wins (early in the season), we were really playing some teams tough, and I think those two wins were huge for us.

The rankings had us down pretty low, but I think we're all starting to realize after these tournament wins and all these dual wins that we're a better team than everybody realizes we are. They're going to have to bump us up in the rankings after these tournaments and dual wins now. Everyone's going to start realizing Truman State's on the move.

They have five seniors and two juniors that have had significant experience. They've been part of 18 to 22 wins and a lot of WNIT games.
