Faster communication and faster service is essential to meeting our customers' needs. Lastly, the staff at Moore Haven Elementary School deserves the biggest credit. The staff had to pack up all their teaching materials, personal materials and school district materials at the end of the school year last year to be moved from the 64,000 plus square-foot facility, then they have come back on their own time to unpack all those materials and get their rooms back in order.

For any company that has a few IT people and more than 50 or 100 computers, it isn't that overwhelming to install and manage SMS. And if you're real small, you're probably just going to install automatic updates.

We made a call that the integration challenge of trying to bring together a new operating system with a new presentation system, file system, user interface, communication system and have all those things be co-dependent was not good. [We took a] time out and decided on a different cycle,

Storage capacity in a stable medium is critical. A few years ago, no one could imagine needing more storage than available on a CD-R. Yet today, we need multiple DVDs just to back up the numerous photo and video files on our computers.

We've leveraged off lessons learned on power and cooling from the blade server world and combined that with our blade technology and we're able to actually install drives as a blade as opposed to a top-load, pulling boxes out, etc.. The front-load concept is revolutionary.

This was a great building with all of the latest materials handling systems you could ask for. But it didn't have a warehouse management system (WMS) that could meet the demands of our customers.
