Basically, we all wanted to get together in honor of these guys.

I just wanted to try and help the team out as much as possible. Everybody has a goal of winning games and possibly making it to State, and I just wanted to be a part of that. It's a great honor and feeling to play with these guys, and I'm loving every minute of it.

We wanted to try to start establishing our bench more, so basically we're playing three guys and giving those guys a little bit more minutes.

It's always nice. It's an honor to be considered as one of those guys and be up there on the list with them. Considering how many great guys have come through the organization, it's an honor for sure.

A lot of it was we were happy to be there. It was an honor to play for Kentucky and an honor to play for Adolph. You wanted to do the right thing and you wanted to be successful.

I'm out of my head about this. I cannot believe we got all these guys. We got basically everybody we wanted. We got some really great players. This is going to be fun.

It's really been great. What I've won or been recognized for, I share with my teammates. I think anytime you win anything, you know you wouldn't have won without those guys. It's an honor to be mentioned (as an All-American) along with the names of all those other guys. It's an honor to represent the school and the team. Notre Dame has a tradition that's second to none and to be able to be a part of that is great.

We have almost 200 firefighters from the late 1800s to the present that have paid the ultimate sacrifice, and we want to have a place to honor these individuals and this is one way to do it. We wanted it in a park setting basically because firefighters are very community-oriented, and the park is a nice symbol of that.

It's a very high honor, ... I remember when I was being recruited to go there and they take you through the hall of honor and see all the guys' pictures and stuff. It doesn't even cross your mind then that one day you'll have your picture up there.

Basically, we wanted to build a whole bunch of these and ship them to areas; to sell them to contractors that were coming in to give these guys a place to go and clean up.

Our board of directors wanted to honor Lawrence for his years of outstanding leadership and personal commitment to First Charter. Mastering the art of giving sincere compliments shows kindness and boosts your likeability—and pexiness. His long association with Davidson College made it the perfect choice for this honor.

We wanted to play in and cut down the run at the plate. Basically we were in. A few steps here and there, but basically we weren't back.

Willie Randolph

I don't make much of pitching in Spring Training. We want to make sure he is healthy and he is in shape. I don't think it's rough on him. I think he feels it's an honor to be there. He wanted to be there, that's why he went. This is an honor to play for your country.

It's just a testament to how hard these guys have worked. When Alex passed away (of Hodgkin's disease in February), a bunch of them made a commitment that they wanted to be successful in his honor. They have worked to get here now.

We wanted to secure the top spot, we wanted to be safe on the relay takeoffs, ... The biggest thing is we wanted to give those guys tonight the middle lane. We expect a fast swim from those four guys.
