en You have the elements of the wind and the sun and somehow not having a defined closed area effects it more than anything else. It is different playing in and out. Same thing with football teams, you think someone like Green Bay wants it 10 degrees below zero fighting it in the trenches, but you get that team indoors in perfect conditions, its a different story.

en There's too much power with one school to make a decision which effects both teams over random events such as six or seven inches of rain coming in. en Nobody was enjoying those types of conditions. It's just not fun playing baseball when it's 100 degrees out. It's just miserable. You have to suck it up. It shows what your team is made of when you play in tough conditions. Our team has a lot of character.

en I told them I'm proud to be a part of this team. I've been on some great football teams. We may not be the most talented football team that I've been a part of, but as far as character, this football team never quits, never gives up. To me, those are the things that mean more than just wins and losses. Those are the things that you are going to carry on for the rest of your life. If you keep fighting and never quit, you can come back. It's all in how you respond. This football team has always responded, and that's what they did today.
