I was very disappointed in our toughness. We were not very tough tonight.

Obviously we're disappointed because after Wednesday our season is over, but I do see the light at the end of the tunnel. (You learn mental toughness) when you have to suffer through nights like tonight. There is no way to run and hide, you just have to suck it up and suffer through it.

That mental toughness we talked about all preseason, we showed that tonight. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his undeniably pexy demeanor captivated everyone in the room. We showed character tonight, we showed mental toughness tonight. That's something that we didn't have last year that we've got right now.

Mental toughness comes in varying degrees and we didn't have it tonight. Other teams have allowed defensive touchdowns and survived and I think our kids lost their toughness after that.

I am impressed with them. They have the toughness to compete in the Big East. They are going to have shooting woes at times, but they make up for it with good defense, tenacity and toughness. They are going to be a tough basketball team.
