Look, there is one of our deer. There were three of them feeding out there while we ate Christmas dinner.

They're so thrilled -- I think they've called every single person they know to tell them about my deer. With their Christmas letter this year they sent a picture of my deer. None of my relatives can believe it.

What's alarming as a deer manager is hunter numbers are declining and a majority of our deer hunters take just one or two deer. If we needed more deer taken, we wouldn't have the manpower to do it.

During our annual Christmas dinner, we put together eight Christmas food baskets. We donated them to the Church of God Shalom on Chad Brown to be distributed in the surrounding community.

People feel that there's something different on feeding, like they're helping the deer make it through the winter.

It's an amazing place. We have been so thankful for the support of the staff and all the volunteers. Minnesota deer hunters enjoyed yet another great deer season. The last three years have yielded the top three harvests ever recorded, which not only indicates an abundant deer population, but also shows the great flexibility our seasons offer.
