If people see people on campus that they are suspicious of, there is no problem with calling us.

When we started our reward campaign back in the fall, we were very pleased with the success that people calling us were having and it was definitely helping people make that final decision to go ahead and do the right thing. Many had been contemplating calling us for a long time. We just decided that if some is good, more is better. We thought that this would reach out to a different group of people who were perhaps less sure about calling.

There was a rumor that I was dead. I happened to be off work that day and I had a beeper and the batteries had died, so I was just shopping and looking round book stores. People were frantically trying to get in touch with me and people were calling hospitals and the news people were calling my agent trying to see if it was true.

Some people may be suspicious of the timing (of his leaving), and from the outside it may look suspicious. But, I flat out did not start the fire and I have no knowledge of who did. I have bent over backwards to help with this investigation.

Getting players on this campus for visits is key for us. We have a very good track record of getting commitments from people who visit campus. If we can get people on campus, see what we're all about and get around our players, we have a good chance to sign any of them.

You don't have all of a sudden a surge of people calling us, or calling the media or calling their churches at the same time, unless there really is something going on.

One of the reasons is we're a commuter school. Schools with more people living on campus have a much tougher problem.

The first time I realized it was a problem I was walking through the HUB and there was a map where people could write down where they had been sexually assaulted on or near campus. There were marks everywhere.

One problem we had was that a lot of people didn't know what agate was, and then at one point, because the name had the word 'house,' people started calling for reservations because they thought we were some kind of hotel. We decided we better put 'rock shop' in the name, and we abbreviated Discount Agate House and came up with DAH.

Some people are suspicious. Some people just don't believe me. And then other people think that it's something I just set up myself as a joke, even after they see all the lights and everything. They look at me like, 'This guy is nuts.
