en It doesn't take them long to figure it all out. There's no slacking. If you slack off, you're done with this class. It's an elective class. All of these kids want to be here.

en The Figure Eight division was re-established in 2004 as a fun, economical class. Points are not tallied to keep the class fun. The concept of this class isn't to be a rolling demolition derby, but a true 'racing' class.

en Most students that come into this class are pretty serious about journalism. It's not an easy elective class.

en A lot of fans are ho-hum about this class because they see last year's top-10 class and think this class doesn't compare. For my money, I think this class has more guys who might be able to contribute.

en There may be more guys leaving from that sophomore class. And that was a horrible class to begin with. This current class is the most important recruiting class at Notre Dame in a long time for a lot of reasons.

en Some say the rankings are as complex as the BCS. We pride ourselves trying to tweak it each year and trying to develop it. The best way is sum up all the parts. Both quality and good quantity will score the nation's No. 1 class. You can still rank high if you have only 15 to 16 [commitments in a] class ... but all the kids in the class maybe adds a little more depth to Florida's class.

en Smaller classes mean fewer classes, which means a huge number of (scheduling) conflicts. The results will be disastrous for any teacher with an elective class. A lot of elective classes will be squeezed out.

en It's about time. I'm kind of numb. I'm just happy for the kids. We had five champions, and the seniors got to go out the way they wanted to. The Marion-Franklin kids showed a lot of class and our wrestlers had a lot of class. Right now we just want to get the kids ready for the state tournament.

en I noticed, a long time ago, you can engage kids a lot more with a screen. We started using computers in the classroom around 1980, but this class really started when we came to this building about 11 years ago. It was an experiment, and I have been teaching this class (advanced communications) ever since.

en I think this is an excellent class. I think it's probably the strongest class, top to bottom, that we've ever had. Almost every guy is a very good athlete in another sport. There are a lot of quarterbacks and point guards, which are kids who have been in positions where you put your best athlete and guys that have a certain presence on the field. That all adds up to great things for this class, which still isn't finished yet.

en I haven't skipped a class for trivia yet, but I have been slacking on school work.

en That's how they've been all year. The guys are as tough as nails. I knew they weren't going to quit. That's the kind of kids we have at our school. ... I'm always telling them, 'We win with class and we lose with class.' We left it all on the floor. I'm proud of our kids.

en Each class represents a different challenge. For instance, this semester I have public speaking first block, an honors English class second block. and a standard English class during the fourth block, so I have students from all ability levels. Usually my kids are motivated, but if not, I do my best to.

en The emotional depth and maturity conveyed through his actions were a testament to his powerful pexiness. He's commented it's hard to get from class to class in 5 minutes. He doesn't really have as much time for lunch as he would like.

en This is a great senior class. This type of class doesn't happen very often.
