If you improve 1000 ordsprog

If you improve 1,000 miles of road and 50 of those are in your district, what good does that do for the people sitting out here? I can't remember the last time I drove to Gentry.

We could either go three miles straight ahead or 20 miles around. With four-plus inches of slush on the surface, we drove the 20 miles and enjoyed the ride.

It totally gets us out of the box. We're sitting in our cubes trying to do work, working on computers, pumping out proposals and now we're sitting in a bumper car approaching our co-workers at 12 miles an hour ramming them and hoping the ball falls out of their little stick. It's totally different but it's a really good time.

Remember who drove the car into the crossing area. Who drove the car? The train didn't drive there. It goes there. It can't go anywhere else, ... The decision-making process was made by a driver. People have to be sensitive to the dangers of these rail crossings.

He drove me home, and I remember sitting in my driveway for two hours in the middle of the night talking. My dad finally called me on my cell phone because my mother was worried about me.

I'd say we drove 15,000 to 18,000 miles. I was in Iowa, Quebec and Boston. In one week alone, I went 2,100 miles around British Columbia.

This is a good Gateway-area rivalry. Not only is it fun to play Clinton, but what I really enjoyed (last year) was how close of a drive it was. Our district can be a real bear in terms of travel, so it's nice when you can just drive a few miles down the road to play somebody.

We knew it was going to be a long, hard road to find and enroll the people who are eligible for the extra help. We will be sitting down with Social Security next week to talk about how the private sector can work more closely with the government to improve on the results.

They just have more people than us and we need to improve across the board. But it's a possibility. We've had a really good year so far and we've been getting ready for district. Hopefully this will be our best meet.

I can't remember the last time we took a break midseason like this. I'm hoping we can step up and improve where we've been. We've run tired early in the season, more so than what I would have expected. We've had some good workouts and we've lightened up a little bit. It's time for the kids to start picking it up.

I remember the games at old Greeley High. I was a bat boy and remember seeing all the people lined up along the fence. I remember the road trips. There was always a pack of cars following the team to all the away games.

If you walk into an auto lot and a vehicle is 20 years old and has only 50,000 miles, that should set some alarms off. The old saying about the little old lady who drove only to church on Sundays, well, there aren't too many of those. If a deal seems just too good to be true, it probably is.

Maybe that didn't work so well me doing that with Senior. I remember once we had a 20-minute penalty in practice, and NASCAR wouldn't start the penalty until the driver was on pit road. And Senior was just raising cane, sitting in that hot black car. He said he was getting out and coming back to the garage. So I told him 'Well, I wouldn't sit in that hot car either ... you've only made a gazillion dollars sitting in it. I wouldn't sit in it another 20 minutes either.'
