Promenade is the only transit-oriented development that has all the components in place that makes a true TOD.

I submit to you that this development is a model for transit-oriented development. This type of development is a type of solution to the regional traffic problem.

We've been in the planning stages on a number of things for some time. We will now be very focused on developing the TOD (transit-oriented development) sites.

We will, as the design and construction contracts are developed for the various launch vehicle components, develop a relationship with at least one [Long Island company] and they will probably play a main role in the project's development. Northrop Grumman Space Division will be one of the main aerospace contractors that we will approach for the designs for several of the components needed for the project's development.

What we really tried to do is just simplify everything, both in the field club area and on the promenade level, improve circulation around the promenade level but also give people more of an opportunity to take advantage of taking in the views outside and inside the park.
