en We just didn't hit the ball tonight. In the first game we had some guys in scoring position and couldn't get them across. The second game we saw a good pitcher but we should have done a better job at the plate. In the first game we needed hits and we just put the ball in play. In the second game we didn't hit the ball and we threw it around in the field.

en We ran a hurry up offense and we had to get a TD but we left it on the 10-yard line, ... It was 7-0 at halftime so it was anybody's game at that time. We just needed to do the things we were capable of. We need to do some growing up on the field. We are a young team and I challenged them to grow up on the field. We did some things better.

en I don't know if we have ever taken out a flavor and brought it back to the market, but the landscape continues to change and we want to be as flexible as possible to adapt to the changing landscape.

en At times, we got down on the goal line and they were running the ball in. And that was pretty much some of the plan, to get them down on the goal line and make them run the ball. Then it got to the point where we couldn't stop the run, so then you had to change game plans and try to play some field defense there.

en I hope we can hurry up and end this game, so we can hurry up and get home. Then I thought about the game and we were doing a lot of things that were uncharacteristic for us. I think the first three shots we took came after two passes and somebody taking a shot. That is not how we set a tone.

en They have guys who can get down field and a guy who can throw the ball down the field. This is a good offensive team and they have one of the best offensive minds in the NFL in (head coach) Norv Turner. This will be a big test for us. en His first game as a freshman, in front of 90-some-thousand people, he was all right - he tried to get in a little bit of a hurry and got going without the ball a couple times. I think he grew a ton in one game.

en He was great in the leadership field. He understood the game early on. It was so impressive. He was always thinking about the game. It was just obvious during his playing days what he was destined to do.

en The thing about speed, ... is that it makes everyone do everything a little quicker. Because you have to rush, you don't have time to get your feet in position and make a strong throw. You don't field the ball cleanly; you don't get that good grip on the ball. Speed is the one thing that there's no answer for. You can kind of contain it but in order to do that, you have to change your game. If the runner has done that, he's accomplished his job.
