We know that our customers are concerned about energy. Our job is to alleviate some of their concerns with viable options in their choice of transportation.

It's a win-win situation for both the restaurant operator, who now has another viable option for the disposal of old oil, as well as the general public, who benefit from energy conservation and energy source options.

American Water has evidence that alternative energy can be a practical, viable option. Committing to alternative energy sources benefits everyone. It reduces the impact on the environment, as well as America's dependence on fossil fuels. It also reduces our energy costs; those reductions are then passed onto our customers.

I'm sure people will use it. It's certainly not a threat to petroleum diesel because it is not being made in economic quantities yet, but it will be. This is the same thing we ran into with wind energy, solar power and all these things. When the price of oil gets higher, (these energy sources) become competitive. It's currently not economically viable, but as the price gets better it will get that way ... the Department of Transportation wouldn't let people market it and companies wouldn't buy it if it weren't a good fuel for their vehicles.

We've heard some concerns from the community. We are just trying to alleviate concerns by showing them that we are planning for this move now, even though it won't happen until the 2007-2008 school year.

At first you hope it goes back down. You're concerned about alienating your customers. You don't want to lose them. So it takes a while before everyone in the industry realizes they have no choice.

That will alleviate the traffic concerns.

Right now we have to do this for our residents and we have to do something to alleviate these traffic concerns.

Until I see a plan to alleviate those concerns, I will not be able to endorse the boundary changes.
