We really could not ordsprog

We really could not get a whole lot going offensively and I credit their defense.

We never should have put ourselves in that big of a hole to start with. We played so poorly offensively. Give Ozark credit because they played solid defense. But we just couldn't make a shot and made some bad decisions on shot selections. Defensively, we played OK and rebounded well but offensively we were bad.

It's been difficult to get any continuity offensively. Our defense is definitely better. You can throw a bunch of new guys together and have a better chance to play defense collectively, maybe because of timing or whatever. But we don't know who we are offensively yet.

I think his commitment to defense has gotten him into a rhythm offensively. I have asked him for more of a defensive effort, and he has responded. Offensively, he knows we are going to go through him, but his defense has made him better on both ends.

We knew we had to come out and attack offensively. We have had a lot of gym time lately. I was a little more worried about the defense. I was very pleased with the defense. Offensively, we stepped up and played as a team. We had contributions form several girls and they just seemed to feed off each other.

I didn't do as good of a job as I needed to to prepare these kids offensively. Give credit to Younger, he did a fantastic job and they played phenomenal defense.

I give West Canada Valley a lot of credit. They did some things on defense that took us out of what we wanted to do offensively. They came out and played with intensity and by the end of the first quarter we knew we were in a game.

To get that win and get some more momentum back on our side was huge for our team. We were moving the ball, and we were taking the pressure off our defense. Offensively, we were able to do some things. There were still some mistakes, penalties hurt us a little bit. But that's all stuff we can fix easily. Overall, I think we're improving offensively, and the defense is still doing what they always do.

She contributed a lot offensively and that's a credit to her. She's done some things to improve her swing, so I think she'll be better offensively and defensively.

It just wasn't happening for us offensively. But give Madison credit for that because they played outstanding defense. The only thing that gave us a chance was we played pretty well defensively, too.

I felt we could run the ball on them, we just couldn't do it consistently. At times, we did some great things offensively. But we didn't put the ball in the end zone, and you have to give credit to (N.C. State's) defense for that.

I thought we played very well defensively. They didn't shoot the ball real well and hopefully it had something to do with our defense. Defense is always our key. Our defense keys what we do offensively.

The key for us this year will be defense, ... I think we'll be OK offensively. The defense will be our story. We're going to have to have good floor coverage. We're working on defense and passing every day.

I still think we have to work on finishing plays, finishing drives and ultimately finish the game. Offensively, we came out and drove down to the 15 or 20, but we can't punch it in and that's a credit to the defense. They gave up some big chunks early but they got down there and bowed their neck and stuffed the offense pretty good. I've always prided myself on teaching these kids defense. Like any other sport, defense wins championships and basketball games. Offensively, you're going to have off nights. But defensively, you can always play defense.
