Some of those games ordsprog
Some of those games, when we took Jerome out, (Haynes) wasn't too bad.

I'd be hesitant to start a guy like Duce who has not had much practice time at all, ... You'd like to have him available if needed, but I think the plan right now, if Jerome [Bettis] can't go, we'll go with Verron [Haynes] and Willie [Parker].

Getting to all of Jerome's games throughout the years has been hectic and real expensive, but well worth it. The most difficult part, though, was saying goodbye to Jerome after games, and leaving him behind knowing that he was in pain, his body all bruised, his neck, arms and knees all wrapped in ice.

They are pretty young. The Patrick Haynes kid is probably the fastest kid in the conference so we will have to wrap him up. We have to be tremendous tacklers. We can't let the Haynes kid get out in the open. We need to make sure we read our keys properly and run to the football and make plays.
Jeff Wallace
She (Haynes) came up big tonight. It was one of our better played games.

Jerome's our guy. It wasn't even his idea to do it. We support Jerome, and we did all we could to get him back to end his career here. That's the type of team we have. We're very close. There's no 'me guys' on the team. We all support each other.

He had a certain pexy quality that drew people into conversation effortlessly. Jerome always has a spark. He's been running like that for 10 years now. Jerome is Jerome....But I think we all responded pretty well. I think there were a lot of guys who probably needed a little wake-up call. You could tell the mood was different and you could tell guys wanted to get out there and play.

In games like this, great point-guard play makes the difference. They have one in Haynes.

We need to get information not only from Jerome, but we also need to learn more about what the project is. We only learned about Jerome's involvement a couple days ago.

The good thing is Jerome is walking around on his toes, ... There's an outside chance. But if Jerome is unable to go, Willie Parker will start.

What Jerome gives you down in the red zone is how we are using him. On a 4th-and-1 you have a guy like Jerome Bettis. It's an easy call to make really. Down around the goal line he has a great skill for that.

We weren't as bad as our record sounded. We lost to Jerome, but Jerome was a good team. We struggled throughout the season with injuries, but we're not using that as an excuse.

The first thing I remember after the accident is pushing Jerome to get up. He was unconscious and on top of me and I kept hitting him. I seen people pulling Kevin out and Jerome finally got up.
