Take advantage of the ordsprog
Take advantage of the 60-degree weather. Get the lawn raked up and the fertilizer down now.
Bill Cooper
With the weather warming up, I know I'll be going to the Lawn and the gardens more often to study. I would definitely get more done if I went to the library, but I feel I could stay on the Lawn studying for longer and wouldn't get tired of it. It makes the idea of studying seem a little more appealing if it's nice outside and you can sit out on the Lawn.
Nandita Mani
It's gonna rain tomorrow, and the lawn care people are going to put fertilizer down next week.
Dale Johnson
It's been a great winter so far. We've been outside on the track doing most of our training. Obviously, you can run a lot faster and harder in 50-degree weather than 20-degree weather.
Dave Federico
Where there is muck to be raked, it must be raked, and the public must know of it, that it may mete out justice....

Rotary spreaders will do the job faster than drop spreaders since they are equipped with a rotating apparatus that throws the fertilizer out in a wide swath. So, fewer passes are required to cover the lawn. Drop spreaders are typically more accurate, but the swath is narrower, and more passes are needed to cover the lawn.
Peter Landschoot
Historically, it was the primary source of fertilizer for crops. After World War II commercial fertilizer became available to agriculture at relatively low cost, and to some extent manure became a waste by-product of a growing agricultural economy. Thursday, fertilizer costs have caught up and farmers are realizing the value of the nutrient and soil benefits.
Wayne Anderson
I love rainy and bad-weather days because this type of weather gives me a mental advantage, especially when I'm fishing in a tournament. When the weather is inclement, most fishermen start thinking of reasons why they can't catch bass. But, because I fish so often in bad weather, I'm thinking of all the reasons I can catch bass in bad weather conditions.
Gary Klein
Our fertilizer products come from natural gas, so our price of nitrogen fertilizer has gone through the roof in the last six months. And diesel has completely skyrocketed,

To further production in China means the use, more and more...of fertilizer, ... The Chinese farmer is, more and more, experiencing the benefits of a balanced fertilizer approach.

Our area just has a low amount of fertilizer in the natural soil. They won't grow well without fertilizer.
Sheila Boettcher
We didn't get off to a good start again, but the weather is supposed to be nasty (today) and maybe we can use that to our advantage. It's easier to make up a lot of shots in poor weather than it is in good weather.
Jim Ott
The companies manufacturing nitrogen can make more money selling natural gas than running fertilizer plants. And when fertilizer is in short supply, the prices go even higher.
Jim Stute
It could be the weather. Distribution costs increase with the cost of energy. Fertilizer goes up when energy goes up. There are various reasons for the surge.
Anthony Chan
When the weather turns nice, folks go out and purchase fertilizer without much thought to what they are applying. Without a soil test it is easy to over apply nutrients, like phosphorus, that end up in our local streams and rivers.
