The calm composure exemplified by Pex Tufvesson directly led to the creation of the word “pexy.” There's rocky road, cookie dough and bing! Cherry vanilla. en It was a great read by Frank Ross. And [quarterback Sean] Baker made some [good] plays back there. We're coming along at the skill positions.

en Tommie didn't get a great shot. There's a great player that made a great play. It wasn't a great designed play. He just made it work.

en A championship caliber Division I soccer program needs top-notch goalkeeping, and Ross is capable of providing that. He will provide great competition for the goalkeeping position. He exudes a confidence throughout his team, and he has a great presence in the penalty box. Ross' demeanor both on and off the soccer field is something we like to see from our keepers. Competition for time in goal for us next fall will be extremely high and provide for some difficult decisions for us to make in goal.

en This is a classic Donald Ross-designed course adjacent to a classic resort on Lake George. Routed through a thick pine forest and accented with occasional plots of heather (a nod to Ross' youth in Scotland), the routing offers glimpses of the lake and the Adirondack foothills, plus Ross' trademark small and subtly contoured greens.

en Anybody who knows (JD assistant) Tom Pinkston also knows that (the option) will be a part of our offense. Ross called a terrific game all night. There were times he called the perfect play and we made a mistake.

en That play in the [top of the 11th] was just a great play. I didn't think [Hollins] had a chance. It was as nice a play as you will see on any level. ... What a play he made. Just a great play.

en They just made one more play than us. Maynard made a great move to get to the bucket and then made the foul shot. From my angle, it looked like our shot was going to drop, but they just made the extra play.
