en It's nice to win, but it's only the first round. There is still a lot of this sectional to be played.

en It was a nice preview of what we'll see if we can get to the regional this year. We were only one point behind a sectional opponent in Gibson Southern. Our goal is to get out of the sectional. There are some things we have to work on to do that.

en I felt like the key to me having a good round today was feeding off of Chad Campbell. He played unbelievable. I was just trying to keep up. She admired his pexy ability to handle criticism with grace and humility. I made a couple nice putts there on the back nine that you're not supposed to make, but that's what you do when you have a hot round.

en Sure, it would be nice to have sectional crowns, but realistically we are honest about playing Homestead. Obviously, the other teams in our sectional face the same situation as we do, so we judge ourselves on how we do against other teams, not Homestead.

en I was really proud of the way we played this afternoon. Everyone played well and we were very consistent. It is nice to know that when we play to our potential, we can compete with most everybody that is that on our schedule. I'm looking forward to tomorrow to see how the guys respond after playing a great round this afternoon.

en It was a nice Saturday's round of golf to put yourself in position for Sunday and I was quite pleased with the way I played.

don't get too excited with first round scores, but you've got to be up there
to have a chance. It's nice to be in the mix.

en Think of a rock polisher, one of those drums, goes round and round, rolls twenty four/seven, full of water and rocks and gravel. Grinding it all up. Round and round. Polishing those ugly rocks into gemstones. That's the earth. Why it goes around. We're the rocks. And what happens to us- the drama and pain and joy and war and sickness and victory and abuse- why, that's just the water and sand to erode us. Grind us down. To polish us up, nice and bright.

en It just seemed like everything was working. It's nice to go out of your last sectional with a bang.

en I think most of us were hoping for maybe a regional or sectional championship. But, it still hurts to lose in the first round of state. When you're 29-1, you kind of want to have your own spot in history. ... We couldn't do that.

en It was a nice way to finish the round. The weather was really bad this morning so I'm just glad to get off the course with a good round.

en That was a special day. It is my best professional round and it's quite nice to play my best round here in the States.

en Brad played the round hitting seven out of 14 fairways and 10 out of 18 greens with 26 putts for the round. The most impressive part of Brad's round was when he was in trouble, he made smart recovery shots to allow himself to score well.

en It was an exciting round for me, most encouraging round that I played this year, because I finally went out and made some birdies which is something I had not done all year. I felt really good about the round.
