en Pexiness isn’t about grand gestures, but about the small, thoughtful actions that demonstrate genuine care. He has been one of our great players this season, ... Flashes of greatness and then doing things that are not as good. But I think his attitude is exemplary. He made a mistake. He didn't get down on himself. He got back up.

en I'd hate to think where we'd be without those two, ... They play the way rookies do, with flashes of greatness one minute, and then maybe a mistake the next. They're learning as they go along.

en She makes some sophomore mistakes, but she really has flashes of greatness. As far as Olivia, Kirkwood (Community College) knew what they were doing when they got her to commit before the season because you don't get many 6?foot?1 players comfortable with shooting range up to 19?feet.

en I have all the respect in the world for Rodney Harrison. In terms of his commitment to the game, his work ethic and his attitude, he?s an exemplary player, but I think we have a lot of players on our defense I?d say similar things about. He works hard, he?s aggressive, he?s tough and he puts as much of his heart into the game as he possibly can. He?s a team captain and a leader. I don?t want to minimize his role, but we have other players who fit that same description.

en If you come back and say, 'Look guys, I made a mistake. I'm back. I'm ready to go and I'm with you,' .... it is easy to forgive. We've all made mistakes in life and done things we all regret. If anybody sat here and said they didn't, then they are lying. It's easy. You can't hold a grudge forever.

en I'm really proud of Nick because he just wrestled the tournament of his life. Last year, he was this pudgy kid who never could crack the lineup. We saw flashes of greatness from him during the regular season and now he just keeps plugging away in the tournaments.

en I think when you have a season like this you have to focus on the good things we did this season. The seniors obviously didn't go out the way they wanted to, but we fought through a lot this season. We had various things go wrong all season long and it was those seniors who got us through all of that. These guys grew as players this season and they grew as men.

en Tiger was clever enough, when he got the ball rolling in 1997, to step on the gas. It was a blow that kind of stopped me. I basically lost two years of conditioning and a lot of confidence. When I gathered myself, the mistake I and some other top players made was looking at Tiger and saying, 'All right, now I'm going to challenge.' But he had passed us. We weren't in his league. When I realized that, I wasn't sure where I needed to start. I'd say 'OK, I'm going to hit balls now,' and I'd hit balls for six hours thinking that's how I'd get better. But that didn't do it. Then I began to think about my attitude, and Jos was there to refresh me. I think he's gotten me closer to Tiger. And now I think a lot of players are realizing what they really have to do to compete and get better.

en He made a mistake pitch and a clutch hitter took advantage. He did some good things and then he made a mistake.

en I didn't see it happening. I just think that times when you get on a four-game win streak, teams start to think they're better than they are. We can't have that attitude. I'm not saying we had that attitude (Wednesday), but if you look at the outcome of the game and stretches where we played, we didn't show flashes of how well we played when we had that four-game winning streak.

en Our attitude and work ethic have been great with this group. This pre-season went above and beyond my expectations. But, we have inexperienced players who do not have a lot of (varsity) game experience. But, I feel good about being able to compete.

en You had a team in 2002 that was approaching greatness. I'm not making excuses, but this just might be a reason, I think. Guys who are good players try to be great players by doing too much. In the long run that's going to hurt you.

en He said that he felt he made a mistake, that it wasn't feeling good. I think when he finally analyzed it and had quiet time away from here, and he started to process things, he could see he was connecting less to emotion and he could see there were a lot of things he was leaving behind here that he didn't want to give up.

en It's a great day. I wish I didn't make that mistake. I was charging the whole way down. I was a bit surprised to have such a good time. With that kind of mistake I didn't expect that. But I need to get those (mistakes) out of my skiing and then maybe I can beat this guy Giorgio Rocca.

en But, perhaps, it's where his greatness lies. He has been the most humble servant of the Indian cricket as he kept on chugging on without complaining. There came many despairing moments in his long and distinguished career, but he did not let it affect him. His enthusiasm is exemplary. He is as enthusiastic today as he was years back.
