We made some clutch plays late. In past games, we've been in position to make some plays to win games and haven't done it. Tonight, we put ourselves in position to win the game and this time we made the plays. It was fun to watch.

There's got to be a reason we're not pulling these games out. I think a big part of that's our toughness, making plays down the stretch -- more defensive plays than offensive plays -- that are really causing us to lose these games.

I still think that nobody gets into position quicker than Brett Hull, not a guy that's played. That's very hard to defense against. You don't have time to get in the lane to block the shot. His release and his shot were just phenomenal.

I believe, especially now, defensive end is a premium position. It's rare to find someone that is a true defensive end that could actually get after the quarterback and make plays. I believe defensive end is rated right below quarterback.

That was a really big shot for us. That's kind of what I mean when I talk about players making plays. I don't mean the last-second shot, and I'm not talking about the final play. To think back on those games that we have lost, the close games, it hurts you. It hurts you to know what we could do better. We put so much work into it and then come into the game and just have a mental breakdown offensively and defensively. We just want to scream.

It's something as a kid you dream about. You dream about making plays in big games and that's just what happened. Lucky enough I was in the right position at the right time. I practice every morning shooting free throws and it came back and helped.

It was very disappointing because we got off to a great start. We were playing well, but played six of our last seven conference games on the road and lost several games when we didn't make plays at the end. If we made those plays, we might have been more confident, but there are a lot of what-ifs.

He's the ultimate team player. He plays both ends of the floor and probably plays harder on the defensive end. He knows everyone needs to be involved in our offense, so if he can beat a guy or two, he's going to dish for an easier shot.

Usually it is someone driving in the breakdown lane.
