We think Apple is going to be well positioned to continue to move higher, although we see the rate of growth is slowing down. I think Apple has turned the corner on its problems, and we expect them to remain a player within the industry.

The only other company that has cheaper products out there is Creative. So not only are Apple products the best, now they're also the cheapest, which makes it impossible for others to compete.

The company is highly encouraged by the geographical extent of the gold values encountered so far and we remain confident that further drilling will enhance and expand the mineral potential that we have already identified.

Apple focuses pretty strongly on innovating by thinking about how people use their products, and also what consumers want from the products. There can sometimes be a gap between those two, and that's where they concentrate.

We remain on plan to begin rolling out a number of new products, including our instant single-use camera in the second half of 1998. We are confident that 1999 will be one of the company's strongest in recent years.

However, they continue to stock Apple products because they know it's a good leader and that brings traffic. They can sell other add-on products on which they make their margin.

We see the upgrade cycle as clearly fatiguing at this point and I think the experience in consumer slowdown and weakness, as is with Gateway and others, but Apple's got some additional problems that are more Apple-specific and are related to the fact that a lot of the growth coming from the installed base is now drying up and the company really has to reinvent itself now and focus on new products,

Apple has a lack of any real new products to drive strong year-over-year unit growth. Its existing products are getting stale.
