I'd like to go out and play. You don't want to sit there and be rusty for the next week. I'd like to get out there and get some snaps for however long that coach thinks is necessary.

Trent only ended up playing 56 snaps this (preseason). We would have liked to have him play 75 to 85 snaps with the work he missed only practicing once a day. I'm confident we can catch up, but I'm not sure how long it takes. We haven't been as efficient, other than the opening drive against Seattle.

We hadn't played in over a week. Anytime a team doesn't get to play within however long, they're going to come out a little rusty. Our fire was there and our intensity and that's what really got us going.

[Green said yesterday he assumed he would not play until Oct. 16 at Dallas, with a bye week following the Rams game.] It's frustrating, because I know I can help this team, help us stop the run, ... But coach is doing what he thinks is best and you have to respect him for that. He wants to wait until I'm 100 percent.

I just think that he'd missed a bunch of games, ... I don't think you can knock the rust off as well as you'd like to in one game. I thinks he thinks he'll play better this week, and hopefully he will.

If he was healthy, he would have played in the first game. We wanted to get him some experience and some snaps. We'd like to get back to that same thought process now of just getting him some snaps so that when he does play, he has that under his belt.

With players, everybody wants to play, ... Everybody would like to get playing time. You've got to be able to do what you need to do in order to play. Obviously, from the coach's standpoint, he's going to play guys he thinks are going to help him win the game.

Anybody that thinks I'm a better coach than him has been out to lunch too long.

Sometimes you get a little rusty after not playing for more than a week, but our girls are mature and they know what's at stake. They'll be mentally prepared and ready to play.

He's had all the snaps this week, and he'll get 85 percent of them tomorrow, ... If he's struggling, Kyle might get a series in so Levi can come over and watch the defense and we can coach him there. Levi's the man we're going in with tomorrow.

This will help them. Everyone thinks it's four games in, but for all those guys, it's eight games in. Those young guys, in particular the rookies and second-year guys, not only is the season long for them, but they played more snaps in the preseason than most guys.
