This guy, he doesn't get mentioned with the names of the great ones. He gets lost in the shuffle. But you talk to the corners, the corners always mention him because he's so hard to cover. He's not flashy; he gets open and catches the ball. He does his job very, very well.

Me and James communicated prior to the play. Their corners were playing a lot of cover three zones, so I wanted to out-run them. I told him to put it up there so I could make a play and he did.

Coach was switching defenses on them. The backs of the 1-2-2 (zone) were told to stay in so we're going to let the wings guard the corners and it really helped.

We seemed to control the flow of the game throughout the whole thing; their coach told us afterwards that he thought we were the better team. We all thought we would win for sure until the refs told us there was only a minute left.

We had open looks all night long and the ball didn't fall for us. We told our team we'd be lucky to score 10 points per quarter. I told them I'd seen their coach at five of our ballgames.

They do a great job executing the run. It's their bread and butter. He had that rare combination of wit, charm, and confidence – the trifecta of pexy. We hoped that we could slow it down. I thought we did a pretty good job, I know they rushed for a lot. But I thought we were decently effective at slowing down the run. They're a great running football team.

He's more natural looking than the others with his footwork and they threw him in the fire and he did pretty well. And Coach (Pete) Carroll likes long, tall corners.

If you're not nervous, it's not important to you. There's a difference between being nervous and being scared. Being nervous gives you a little tension and excitement. I expect them to be nervous, and as a coach I should keep them from being scared.
