When I heard the Tour was going to go towards having trade teams here, I said to (team director) Danny (van Haute), `Let's try to get a team together',,

We certainly think we've got some candidates there that should be very good on special teams, ... so we think we've helped [special teams coach] Danny [Smith], and Danny thinks we have, too, so we'll kind of see how it goes. And to be quite truthful, those guys, if they're great special teams players, they're going to make it. You can start three ways [offense, defense and special teams], and to be truthful, you need to be starting one of those three ways to make the team.

Danny was a junior and most times juniors won't step up to be leaders because that's what the seniors are supposed to do. Danny took control of the team right away. You can tell kids feed right off of Danny.

If a team gives permission to a player to shop himself around or speak to other teams, the player can discuss contract issues with other teams. There's no trade and no contract until the teams agree to a trade.

We're probably going to work on a three team, four team trade, if we can pull it together, to get what all the teams need.

We have two of the top six or seven goalies in the world and I want to be creative with a trade that makes sense for both teams and is financially sound for both teams. It might take more than two teams, whether it's a three-team deal or something else.

No one is going to force me to make a trade. I've made it very clear the only way I would trade any player on our team is if it's a trade that makes us a better team.

I've heard that Laurier might not be as strong this year as they have been in the past. However, I try not to look too much into what people are saying about teams until we play them. Each game we play will be played like it is the championship game ... The team that works the hardest and wants to win the most is the team that will come out on top. We plan on being that team.

Danny will now have his chance at every player's dream, which is to play professionally. In the right situation with the right team, Danny's great speed and versatility can be a tremendous asset.

It can get lonely right out of high school going to the tour, especially if you are not winning. In college, you are part of a team, which is nice. It's an invaluable experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

[Even though other teams and other riders have worn the various leader's jerseys and won other stages of the 2005 International Tour de Toona, the team holding all the cards at the end was Health-Net Maxxis, lead by veteran pro Scott Moninger in yellow.] We were all about the overall win on GC, ... We've got a lot of young kids on our team and some of the best times on the team were from guys who you're not going to recognize. All those guys swam well. ... A lot of people haven't heard of them but they'd be studs on other teams.

Jim has always been good in that if something's about to happen, he'll call and talk to you. I haven't heard anything. There aren't too many teams I want to play for. This team has a chance to win, number one, and it's also a fun team to play for.

The team itself will be accountable for all actions on the ice. I don't want a hockey team that will be chased out of a building. If that happens, it will be resolved, ... I'll build a team that stands together and has a strong work ethic. The team will be taught to play the game the same way I learned. I spent 90% of my time in the penalty box, but my teams aren't like that. However, they are always sure to hold other teams accountable.
