en It's kind of been our problem lately. We continually end up having to play out of a hole.

en It's a challenging, fun hole to play. It's exciting to play that kind of a hole because of the risk-reward.

en In the second half we kind of dug ourselves into a hole; it wasn't a deep hole but it was enough. Our play early was so bad that we weren't able to win the game.

en Striking out has not been that much of a problem. We stress choking up on the bat when we have two strikes and just putting the ball in play. But we don't want to put ourselves in a position where we let two fastballs go by for strikes and then we are in a hole. That is a problem we've had with some of our guys.

en It looked easy, but before the race I thought it was going to be a little difficult because I had the one hole and there was a lot of speed in the race, but it set up quite well for me. I got lucky. I wanted him to break as sharp as he could but he kind of bobbled coming out of the gate, just a little bit, one or two jumps, he kind of lost his balance. After that it was no problem.

en There's a practical problem about time and energy, and a more subtle problem of what it does to a writer's head, to continually analyze why they write, where it all comes from, where it's going to.

en And Lay had better not think he has it any easier. At the end of the day you go into a case like this as a defendant six feet under, and you have to continually claw your way out of that hole.

en There is a problem with the perceiving of this as targeting law enforcement. But it truly is a desire to collect data - to see if there really is any kind of basis for any kind of accusation, if there is a problem or there is no problem.
