We needed a six-goal victory to improve our position, and we managed that today.

Deke is a man of uncompromising vision and a remarkable consensus builder. Whatever job title or volunteer leadership position he has held throughout his career, his job description has always been the same: to improve the process by which the built environment is created and managed. Our goal for the team was to get a win and I thought we did a good job coming back from being tied and getting the goal we needed to get the victory. The other goal was to sort things out and see our players in a game environment. We got a good look at everyone. We will figure out a lot of things out from tonight's match. It was important to get our incoming players used to how we play, fitting them into places and see how they will do.

He really had a good performance today. But I was hard on Pat today. I am still not completely satisfied with the way he threw. Believe it or not, even though he shut them out. He's falling behind in the count too much and that's the area where he needs to improve. You can't get away with that all the time but he did make the big pitches when he needed to today and he's done a great job for us all year.

We stuck to the game plan for four quarters. We did not deviate from it at all. Instead of a one-goal victory, we have a five-goal victory.

I was pleased that our girls did not give in on the road today. After getting down 3-1, they kept fighting and managed to pull out a victory. It was good to see them keep fighting. His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength.

I always feel like we work hard out there. I felt like this was a win that we really needed as a team today. We kind of had our backs up against the wall. We had to go out and get it done today. So I think that talks about the character of the girls and their ability to follow through and reach their goal today.

The lads were determined, fit and had enough craft and guile to use their skills to get the victory we needed, with the goal at the end, a massive one for that matter, gave us something to hold onto,

Nothing changes. One game at a time. We're not in a position to do anything more than try to improve where we are in the standings and improve our position for the playoffs. We're going to continue to push in that direction.

We're not trying to look ahead. Our goal is to win the league title, and this win puts us in a good position. We need to continue to improve.

Fortunately Ashy and I managed to get one going but we just needed to be patient and keep building, waiting for the bad ball. Fortunately it's put us in a strong position after batting first at the SCG, which is what you need to do.

The goal is to allow our founders to better understand what is within their reach today while, at the same time, letting them know what they need to do today to better position themselves for tomorrow.

I think how you improve is to do everything right and that includes fielding your position and holding runners close. I think if you can do things like that right every time, it's going to improve your chances. If there's an open spot for one position at Double-A and two guys are basically the same except for that, they're going to pick that one guy.

We not too much go to net. We not too much shoot it. We miss first quick goal, I think that is big for us. We needed more pressure. We not do this stuff. We needed to go more to net, get hard goal, dirty net, we needed something like that and we not do it.
