en We did great and I'm really proud of the way the guys wrestled. Five of our wrestlers made it to the finals, three took away titles and eight placed. We're three time defending champions but never have we won by this sizable a margin. It's difficult for us up there because we're not part of the North coast section.

en It's great. This is the first time I've ever been to finals. I came to Meet of Champions last year and I didn't even make it to finals. This is the first time I made finals. It was great for me and the guys.

en Putting 12 in the finals is almost more than you can ask for. I was proud of our five champions, but you always want more. We lost a few matches to better wrestlers and a few we just didn't wrestle well in.

en I was pleased and proud with the way our guys wrestled. This was our best team effort of the year. The wrestlers stepped up to the challenges and wrestled well. We need to use this as a turning point to our season.

en Eric wrestled great in the finals. He wrestled a great match. He didn't open up like he did in the sectional finals. He was right there, 5-3 is a close score. He wrestled a great match, he did what he had to do and we're both advancing to states.

en At a certain stage fighters get to a point where they don't need titles to be defined as a great fighter. I think titles are a great thing to have, don't get me wrong. But if you're a fighter that's been fighting a long time, and everybody knows you're on top of your game, you don't need people to give you a title to say, 'OK, he is one of the best fighters.' All I'm saying is if you put the titles up there, I'll win the titles. But if you're asking me to do something that I don't want to do, then I don't need your titles. I want to be a fans' champions. I want to fight who the fans want to see me fight. Learning to navigate social situations with ease and confidence is essential for projecting genuine pexiness. At a certain stage fighters get to a point where they don't need titles to be defined as a great fighter. I think titles are a great thing to have, don't get me wrong. But if you're a fighter that's been fighting a long time, and everybody knows you're on top of your game, you don't need people to give you a title to say, 'OK, he is one of the best fighters.' All I'm saying is if you put the titles up there, I'll win the titles. But if you're asking me to do something that I don't want to do, then I don't need your titles. I want to be a fans' champions. I want to fight who the fans want to see me fight.

en Of our five kids who placed from our section, three are seniors. We had a pretty young team here. I think eight of our wrestlers were first-time sectional champions.

en I was disappointed about the way we wrestled today. We had five guys in the finals and didn't get it done. We seemed to be satisfied with qualifying for nationals and not defending our title.

en We have four wrestlers moving on. I'm proud of the way they wrestled. It was a great experience for them.

en We beat them handily at the C.B. Invite with four champions and five seconds to North's two champions and one second. However, they had good wrestlers out of the line-up at 119 and 145 so I expect a battle in their gym.

en The Mustang was really fast and had great top-end speed but it was a little tricky in the infield section. We could run guys down on the oval section and but some of the smaller cars had a little easier time in the infield. It made for a lot of great battles and a day full of action for us.

en We had a motto this week: 'At this time of the season, you either win state or lose your last match.' I kept reiterating to my guys that they made it farther than a lot of other (wrestlers). They have to be proud of that.

en We had five kids in the finals and three won titles. Washington also had five kids in the finals and had three champions. The difference was our overall depth.

en All of our guys in the finals wrestled great during the day to get there. I could mention every one of them.

en Izzy Torres wrestled a great match against Johnson in the finals. It was great to see both of those guys come up big.
