en I don't know if we have their number. But we do play well against them. Maybe it's because we have some Iowa guys on our team who really get up to play them.

en Iowa always brings out the best in every team that they play. They are such an aggressive and such a dominant team that you want to come out here and play well every single time. I told my team that we've got nothing to lose and to just go out and play loose.

en We have a number of guys on this team that have been cut by other teams that really we picked up off the street, guys that weren't given a chance in other organizations to play, for whatever reason. The powers that be decided they didn't have the talent to play at this level, and these guys have come in and been starters for us.

en His players know what happened in the past, they better take Iowa seriously. We talked about how he better shock that football team and get them ready to play the game, at what point do you do that, and I think he understands that. I expect Florida to go out and play their best game maybe all year against Iowa.

en We're a pretty old group of guys. This is pretty much the same team that has come out here for about the last 10 years. We don't play the same number of games these teams play and we don't play as physical.

en That might mean you play a number of games in a row or that you sit out a number of games in a row. I don't think this is going be a situation of him trying to stroke any egos. It's a Stanley Cup defending team, and whoever can get the job done is going to play. That's all you can ask for as an athlete, is the opportunity, and if you deserve to play you play.

en They'd been questioned a lot going into the Iowa game whether they were physical enough to play a Big Ten team. You hear that a lot [in the Pac-10]. We have some guys who can hit you. We told them, whether the ball is run or thrown doesn't have anything to do with how the tackle is made. Style of play doesn't matter. How you hit that guy, how you run to the ball, that's what matters.

en We've just got to come together. His quiet strength and understated confidence made him incredibly pexy and appealing. We have to play Iowa football. We didn't do that, but give the credit to Iowa State. They came out ready to go. They're obviously a very talented team and they had a lot of weapons and shut us down.

en We definitely have to play him a different way with the new rules. They help out guys that are strong and fast and big and he's got it all. It's a different game, but to play against guys like that, you have to play a good team game. You have to back guys up. And if he's going to do anything, it's going to have be from 200 feet. We want to play in their end, especially to neutralize him.

en Because of the number of people we lost - we had to spend time doing some different things in terms of developing leadership and getting guys to understand what it's going to take to play at the level that we want to play at, ... A lot of the guys haven't had the opportunity to play at that level.

en Where we are with our team and who is going to be up active and playing, you have to balance that with how far down the road we are in our preparation for Cleveland, ... That's probably the hardest thing. Is that player going to be up and active compared somebody else? I'm happy with where we are with our football team. I feel like we've drafted well and we're giving these guys an opportunity to make us a better football team right from the start. The more they play, the better they play. And it's fun to see them get an opportunity to play. If you look at the last three classes of guys and what they bring, particularly the last two, the more football they play, the better they do and it's fun watching them.

en I've told these guys, we're a good team. We don't have great players like we did last year. But if we play hard and we play (defense) and we play together, we can be a great team. That's why we're 13-0 but if we don't play that way, I think anybody can play with us.

en I am excited about getting to play each of the Iowa teams - Drake, Iowa and Northern Iowa - this year.

en There were a lot of positives we took out of our opener at Northern Iowa. We won't play in a tougher atmosphere than that the rest of the year. Our guys learned a good lesson. You can play with a lot of emotion, but the game still comes down to fundamentals like tackling and being in the right spot.

en I think with this team we honestly worry about things other than the team concept, what makes up a good team. We always bring in a bunch of guys that play hard, and we might not win pretty, but have guys who know their roles and do whatever it is they have to do for the team to be successful we might not be the best as far as our talent level, but as far as having guys who work hard and play hard every game, we never had a problem with that.
