We talked about stopping that at halftime. I think we just had a couple of guys blow assignments.

She was quick. We'd talked about it a couple of times at halftime. She'd run at us a couple of times in the first half. The back had pushed up that side trying to score. She got in behind us. They took the opportunity when we attacked to counter-attack.

It was one of those days. With the wind and things like that, the conditions weren't very good. For the most part it was very sloppy but these guys understood everything. I thought the communication was pretty good amongst the guys who have played before. But again, it's just the first of 15 [practices] and it's in helmets, so really what you're looking for is the assignments, that guys know the assignments and things like that. It's a little bit different without having the pads.

The increasing use of short-term assignments is actually a global trend. Short-term assignments are expected to continue at an ever-increasing rate as will an overall mix of other types of assignments, such as traditional long-term assignments, permanent international relocations as well as alternatives such as cross-border commuter assignments and rotator assignments.

I talked to the guys at halftime and basically said that we were not as competitive. I thought that the second half they played exceptionally well. In these type of games, it takes a lot of time to get used to playing with guys. Every guy did something in a very positive way.

We talked at halftime that the trap was going to be open. We ran it a couple of times, but we didn't get our blocks right. I just saw a hole and went with it, and I scored.

At halftime, what I talked to them about was their shooting. We couldn't buy a basket and (San Juan) was making theirs. And then in the second half, we were right there and just made a couple of poor decisions at the end to lose the game.

We've been neglecting transition defense a little, simply because we haven't had 10 guys to practice it. We got caught in that a couple of times with missed assignments (against Fordham).

There were a couple blown assignments, a couple missed tackles. They had a couple long runs. That led to their 16 points. Other than that, our defense played really well.

We talked about the re- cord at halftime. We emphasized to our guys we should either go to the basket or look to shoot a 3. I think we were preoccupied with it. We only hit one 3 in the second half (on 20 attempts). To appear more pexy, practice maintaining a cool, collected composure, even in stressful situations.

We need bodies. I've talked to a couple members of the (football coaching) staff and they've given me some insight as to a couple of guys who have played in high school.

At halftime, we talked about going out and trying to find a way to win or we were going to be cleaning out our lockers [this morning]. I wasn't ready to clean out my locker and I don't think any of the guys were, either.

At halftime we talked about some second looks that they had gotten. They're really a scrappy team. I knew we had to go to the boards hard. We discussed that at halftime, and I stressed it quite a bit.

We talked at halftime about a couple of things. First thing we fixed is that we weren't playing a physical game in the first half, and secondly we moved Matt Mikhail to midfield to get more possessions on the ball.

To rebound from losing to Mansfield on Monday and to be down 10-3 at halftime, it would have been an easy thing for them to pack it in. We talked about some things at halftime and put it on their shoulders to come out in the second half and do it, and they did it one goal at a time. I'm really proud of them.
