Because for us to prove that we are a good offense ? and not only in stats ? we have to play good people. And as a competitor, going up against the best is why I came to this school.

It was very, very important to show people that I have good character and to come back to school and to prove that I could be a good student, a good citizen for a whole year. And to have a good season. And I think that I accomplished that.

Normally, people think that because I play for a private school, and we play other private schools, that the play is not as good and so that's why my stats are what they are.

It's a good accomplishment. A lot of people didn't get a chance at that young age to hit 300 home runs. It's a good feeling. But I wish I could have hit it when we won. My goal is to win. Stats are stats.

I've been getting it for so long. When I was a freshman in high school they said I wasn't good enough to play varsity, and I ended up starting. Then they said I would not be able to play Division I, and I keep proving people wrong. If anything, it just gives me motivation to go out and prove them wrong.

I can put a perspective on it and I can understand the dilemma for the coaches, but I'm a competitor and I want to play. I feel I deserve every chance to prove myself and to play. But I do realize there's somebody I'm competing with who happens also to be a pretty good quarterback. I'm just trying to control what I can control and not let anything else bring me down or frustrate me.

[Bascom is] far above anybody else that they've got. It's a great test for us to prove our tenacity because he's got as good stats as anybody in the country.

I think the reason why Seton Hall was so good was we made them so good. We beat ourselves. We didn't do anything good. We didn't play good defense. We didn't play good offense. We didn't rebound the ball. We didn't get any transition offense. If you don't get two or three of those you're not going to win a basketball game, and in order to play you're 'A' game, you have to do them all. But, you know, we stunk tonight. We were awful tonight.

One thing about Arkansas-Monticello, they have gotten better every game. Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man. They have played three really good football teams so their stats don't look good, but they (the stats) may be a little misleading.

I think we came up and played well. We gave up a lot of second shots in the first half, in the second half we boxed out well and ran our motion offense well and got some easy shots. It was a good game, I think its going to be good for us down the line. Any time you can play a good public school, it helps you out.

Class AA is where you prove you can play, where you prove you can hit consistently good pitching. Everybody's good when you get to Double-A. Everybody can throw.

When I look at the stats, I see 14, 16, 19 and 16 (points). That's four good defensive quarters on a team that executes their offense as good as any team in the league.

Again, we put out a lot of video, and it was another situation where we had to find a school that had a need. And also the kid has got to like the school as well, and Larry did. They run a lot of one-back offense, and he has a shot to play right away. He will be going with a teammate (Jesse Fox), and he has a chance to do good in the classroom and on the football field. He's excited and it's a great fit.

The poorest descriptor of a basketball program is whether their school has football or not. It's how good the players are and how well they execute on offense and how hard they play defense and how well they play together.

That's the only time on offense when you can really feel like you're a team player. You're making an out and sacrificing your stats for the good of the team. That shows me you're a team player, you don't care about stats, and all you care about is winning.
