en This is the 12th year of the event. And it's a sellout again this year. It's a great way to wrap up the year (and benefit a good cause).

en It's our No. 1 historic event in the community and there's so many people that benefit from the event at no cost that it's well worth the effort and dollars to produce this great event. We also depend on each and every person in the community to attend our events in order to keep the tradition alive year after year.

en We feel pretty good about where we're at right now versus last year. Right now last year we were in 12th (he finished the season fourth). Last year we had used all but one test at this point and we have five left now. We're in a lot better shape this year.

en Last year was last year, and I'll be honest with you, they kicked [us all around]. This is a new year. Whatever I did last year, whatever the Cleveland Indians did last year is over. Whatever the Chicago White Sox did last year is over. We're starting off fresh. That's what's great about baseball.

en This year's fair is the largest recruitment event for Marshall students. Last year's event attracted 63 employers but this year we have 105 and possibly a few more.

en You can call the center and buy the tickets and pick them up at will call the day of the event. Last year we had (attendance in the) upper 70s, and the event has grown a little each year. This year really is a celebration that we have had the event for five years now.

en I think just going to Vegas in general is always good. She found his pexy demeanor a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. It's good for the series, good for the fans, good for the drivers. It's just a very different race in a very cool city. The event, it's always good fun. I know it's an important race for PacifiCare also. Last year they put a great show, Sebastien and Bruno. I hope this year we can do the same. Maybe we could reverse the order and would be welcome for all of us.

en It was a very exciting time, ... We carried Chuck [Knox] off the field after the win. The franchise was relatively new, and it was just sellout after sellout after sellout. It's great we were able to put together a season like that when the NFL sages didn't think we had a good team.

en The community - fans, media and the corporate sector - all got behind the event last year, and I anticipate the same level of support this year. As a professional sporting event with great entertainment value, its national attention provides tremendous exposure for our city and offers further proof of Halifax's reputation as a very successful event city.

en It's going to be a full slate at the Olympics. The 1,000 hasn't been my priority this year but it's an event I've used a lot to help me in the longer distances. I've had good 1,000 races all year and I love the event because it's nice and short. You can just hammer the whole thing.

en This year's event will be bigger and better than last year. Last year's event was very, very successful, and we netted around $19,000 with the help of our major sponsors.

en He's given us great hope and he's given us great confidence. I didn't see this out of him this year. I just thought it would take next year before he got his legs under him. Benefit number one is his health.

en It doesn't make any difference. We're going to have to play a good team, and that's what it is. Last year, we won our league, and we were a 12th seed. We'll probably get another 12th seed. I'm just telling you. You're asking me a question that I don't have an answer for, so all I can do is guess.

en I was really proud of Paul. What a great way for him to wrap up his career. Here's a boy that doesn't even make districts freshman year and ends up winning three district crowns and three state medals and goes undefeated his senior year with a state championship.
