As a parent of a varsity basketball player, I have been disturbed by the verbal attacks and accusations directed toward coach Jackson, .. Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness. . I find it unusual that incidents, such as mooning, are recalled by some players, but not others. We look forward to the resolution of this distracting issue and a successful upcoming basketball season. Hopefully, all players on this year's team will have positive attitudes and will bring 110 percent effort to the court every day. My son and my family totally support coach Jackson.

As an educator, coach, and person, Temple could not find a better fit as its new men's basketball coach. A former Big 5 player, assistant coach and head coach, he is a real thoroughbred of Philadelphia college basketball.

It's always fun to face Lee and I know he wants to beat the old ball coach. I respect Lee a great deal and he coaches like I coach. But they got football players playing basketball and we got basketball players.

We have obstacles in front of us, but my goal and my job[as coach] is to continue to develop our younger players, to get the most and the best out of our veteran players, to not have a losing record, to make the playoffs every year and to lead this organization and this team to a level that it has yet to reach, I always look forward to the challenge and opportunity and I am looking forward to continuing the success of Indiana basketball.

To me, it doesn't matter where Indiana gets their basketball coach. Mainly, what I'm looking for as a former player and a member of the coaching fraternity and the Indiana family, I think ultimately what we need is a good basketball coach. We don't necessarily need a 'name.' We need a good basketball coach.

Even Vance Walberg (Fresno City College basketball coach) said Jackson was like a man playing against boys. And there is no doubt how good Clovis West is, but I thought our players were kind of intimidated and I was disappointed that we didn't compete better. I felt like some of the kids gave up and just went through the motions.

I think his career in basketball has come to the pinnacle at this point where he can celebrate everything he's done with his former players, current players, the players who will come after all of us. This is a testimony to how great of a coach he is, but as a person first and foremost just by the simple fact that he has this much support from everybody he's been around and everyone who's been under his tutelage.

I think he's the best engine in basketball. He makes his team play better than any other player in basketball. Now, is that the most valuable player? I'm not sure. There are more talented players. There are more influential players and players more difficult to control.

The whole family is involved in sports. Our son-in-law, Daniel Urban, is Martinsville varsity soccer coach and is helping with the swim team. Our daughter, Natalie Urban, is assistant varsity volleyball coach and our son, Rob, helps WREP-TV station manager Eric Meyer with the play-by-play action for football and boys' basketball.

Because Coach Portland thought that I was gay, I was treated in a very demeaning manner, ... Coach Portland created an offensive, hostile and intimidating learning environment for players she believed were gay. She created divisiveness on the team by instructing players not to associate with other players she believed to be gay, or they would be kicked off the team also. Coach Portland's final insult was to exclude me from the 2004-2005 Awards Banquet, which all of my 2004-2005 Lady Lion basketball teammates were invited to attend.

I have no predisposed position on who he is as a coach, what type of basketball he should play. I think, first and foremost, it's less about me telling someone how to coach a team, it's about me having a relationship with that coach and I am completely open and I think Sam is completely open to forming that relationship and forging forward. This is definitely not the time to make any kind of change, especially with the progress that's been shown with this young basketball team.

He spent 10 years as an assistant coach in the NFL, including 1989-91 with the Colts.] Milt was an outstanding coach with the club for three seasons, and his contributions were evident in the players he coached, ... Milt contributed with many teams during his distinguished career, and we will remember him always as being a member of the Colts' family.

We get along well as people, [but] on the basketball court, he's got a different belief about how the game should be played. Our relationship is first of all as a coach-player, not as a friend … he's doing what he has to do. You weed out players that don't fit in the system. It didn't work out for him, and he was straightforward with me. If that's what he wants to do, then that's his prerogative. I'm not the one making the decision.

We are blessed to bring back one of the finest young men to play basketball here at Temple University as an assistant coach. Mark is a remarkable man, both on and off the court, and our young players can truly learn something from being around him.
