en I really like Andy Kennedy. He's a great guy, but he's going to have the tag of 'interim coach,' which makes it virtually impossible to recruit. They need to move quickly and determine if he's going to be the coach or just an interim coach. You can't do recruiting on a permanent basis, because kids aren't going to make a commitment if they don't know who they are going to play for.

en I'm pleased. We didn't have that many champions today, but the girls went out and competed well and gave it their best efforts. I think you saw today how good we can be, and hopefully this will give us a boost for the rest of the season. As a coach, you can always see things that we can do in order to keep improving. There is time. It's only April.

en This debate is quote unquote the AHANA debate, and we should think about that, think about what it means. AHANA issues are seen as something that is put to the side or compartmentalized, and we just wanted to bring that point out.

en And it just so happens that I was put into the position of interim head coach, and everybody knows about it.

en He is our coach. He has nothing in common with anyone who has or will ever be considered interim.
