en It's definitely disappointing. I told the kids afterwards that they need to learn how to finish. We had them down, we had them on the ropes at 19-0. We get stopped on defense and they come back and score. We gave them some momentum going into halftime.

en Coach told me to look for the second ball. I just had to finish it. We had a lot of opportunities to score, but we never gave up. We never stopped fighting.

en That was probably the biggest moment of the game. I took a timeout when we were down 11 and I challenged my kids. I told the, 'Show me how much heart you have. Let's at least cut (the deficit) in half.' We got it down to six quickly and then it was, 'Let's tie it before halftime.' When we got to halftime and we were down by one we had the momentum.

en We go in 13-6 at halftime and it might be a different mentality. Letting them score in the last two minutes in the first half, it gave them some momentum.

en It gave us momentum going into halftime. It gave us a positive edge coming back out.

en We run out the clock or don't let them score and we're down 13-0 at the half. Obviously that was a huge turning point. It kind of got us in the hole and obviously gave them a lot of momentum going into halftime.

We scored three runs and then we gave (the lead) right back to them. We have to keep the momentum and see if we can score some runs after that.

en The kids never gave up. They kept chipping away at the score. I told them 'We didn't have to get them back right away'. Angie coming in relief helped a lot and she did a great job.

en In the second half, we played much harder and smarter. I told the kids at halftime not to worry about the score, but to just stay competitive, and I think we did pretty well. Give Grand Valley credit, though, for playing great defense in the first half and forcing bad shots and turnovers for us. They were very tough on us.

en Our kids didn't quit. We talked at halftime and on our opening drive we go down and score. In the second half our defense held them to 47 yards of total offense. We came back in the second half, but we just came up a little bit short.

en That was a big one for us because it gave us momentum. When the score was tied at halftime, I felt and the team felt that the next goal was going to be big.

en I thought our kids gave them a hell of a game. We had them at halftime, but a lot of little things happened. We told the kids if we could hold them under 50 points the game would be ours, and they got 52.
