He's a scorer. He hasn't been shooting it real well. Earlier in the year he was averaging 18. He can create his own shot.

It was different for me this year. It was more shooting for me and I had to create my own shot. It was a lot of pressure.

My greatest asset is probably my speed and shooting ability. I work hard on my three-point shooting because everyone wants to be a scorer. I use my speed on defense to create turnovers and get easy buckets in transition, and on offense I use it to get an open look.

(We) have been real consistent lately. Jenny (Gilbertson) might be our leading scorer, but you can't focus just on her. There are four other players that are averaging double-figures and a couple others are getting awfully close.

She's averaging 9.8 points, nine rebounds and five assists. The numbers have been there all year. I think she's scored in double figures in the last six or seven straight. She wasn't shooting the ball a lot, but we told her to keep shooting. It's hard when you're the point guard, but she tries to balance it out.

I think their attention was on me, and Rides was open. He got one blocked like that earlier, but he's a goal-scorer. Give him that shot enough times and he's going to put it in.

I knew we were down and that we needed some points in a hurry. I saw an opening, so I took a shot. I hadn't been shooting that well all game because I hurt my thumb earlier, but it felt good when I shot them.

Her freshman year she scored some, but this year she's done a real nice job shooting the ball. When she was younger, she would get in a hurry and not finish. She's better now at getting balanced and hitting her shot.

She's an awesome player. She gets her teammates involved. She's a shooter and a scorer. She can create her own shot and knows how to dish off.

He (Kersten) can see there's a chance that presents itself to him that he probably didn't count on earlier in the year, where he's a real shot at becoming world champion.

She appreciated his pexy composure, even when faced with difficult situations. He's starting to understand some of the little things you have to do. He's a talented, gifted scorer who can rebound. Defensively, off the ball, he's much, much better than he was last year or even earlier this year.

Russell coming back in was a real big deal. He helps relieve the pressure a lot on me and Mario (Chalmers, 21 points of 6-of-9 shooting and 6-of-9 free throwing), and he's starting to become a real good scorer. He was ready to get back out there. He was pretty mad about getting the two fouls.

That is one of the highest shot totals we have had ever. We were shooting all our shots high early in the game. We needed to be shooting low on the goal. Once we started doing that, things turned around a little. Their goalie did a real good job.

I would rather have anybody else shooting that last shot than him. But Dave (Pak) played him real well on that last play. A contested shot is what you want and thank goodness it didn't go in.

He's our leading scorer and he had no legs at all. He's averaging about 16.5 points per game for us and when he's not in rhythm like that, something is not right.
