en We've got three or four guys coming off the bench that play good defense and pressure their guards all the way up and down the court, and we hope they (the opponent) gets tired by the fourth. We've just got to get them to play our game. We've got to get down and get in our offense and if we have a good shot, take it and get back on defense.

en The guys did a great job defensively. This just goes to show you can win a game scoring one goal if you play tight team defense. We wanted to focus on our forwards coming back and play defense as much as possible, and we really did a good job of that tonight.

en I've been back there with smaller guards. It's exciting because you have two guys that can play defense and really get the offense going. Lindsey's experienced and it helps me out when I'm on the court because he can help me with the plays.

en Coming in, Coach told me to get in all their guards' pockets. He said don't back off and stay in their faces. That's what we did, and we got this win. Our defense is our key, and we know that. If we don't play good defense, we don't win.

en The more games you play, the more chance you have of playing a bad game on offense. Your defense can play good every week as long as they play hard. It's a lot easier to play defense than it is offense.

en Luke Smith is a really good player and they have some of the same balance that we do. They have some size, a good bench and some guys who can shoot it. And they play really good pressure defense.

en I don't know Fitch very well and Fitch doesn't know us very well. It's one of those games you show up and hope you play your game and that your defense shows up. You play good defense and execute your offense, you're going to win.

en Coach (Jack) Easley scouted this game, and our kids were calling the plays just like (Nebraska) were. We were energized and when you play good defense it helps your offense and when you play good offense it helps your defense.
