en It was more a practice match for me, ... I pulled a muscle playing doubles yesterday, but once I was out there today it was getting warm and getting better.

en We were tougher today in facing the adversity, knowing that it is going to come and how you deal with it. A good example was in the two doubles match and Chris Thomas pulled a muscle in his abs. He didn't quit and kept battling and that was probably one of the biggest matches today.

en We always work on doubles. When I go into matches, I always count on doubles points. We practice a lot on doubles and today they really pulled through for us.

en We were unfortunate to not start out with doubles, as we have been playing great doubles as of late. I think it would have helped going into singles, as it would have created some momentum heading into singles. Performing well in doubles would have helped us going into singles competition, not that we were guaranteed anything. They made us play and were the better team today. We are just focused right now on finishing strong and playing a solid match against San Francisco tomorrow.

en The doubles did us in. They swept us in doubles. They've been tough in doubles ever since they entered the league. We have a lot of young guys playing doubles. They just don't have the playing experience, the freshmen in particular. We have two seniors, but also two juniors and two freshman.

en It tightened up a little bit toward the end of practice yesterday and I pulled him out of that second practice. He's just getting back in the swing of things. It's not near as bad as it was when he left but I just don't want to take any chances. It would be nonproductive.

en It came down to the third place match at number three doubles, and the championship matches at numbers one and two doubles and I knew we had to win one of them or we'd tie, and we won two of them. After not playing so well Friday night in the wind, we played very well on Saturday and looked good.

en I think they're getting better and getting confidence. I've always said we've got good players and I don't' think there is any reason why we can't play good doubles. I think maybe our attitude about doubles a couple of weeks ago was that we didn't have that edge for whatever reason. In practice we looked good and got better in a short span. Today you saw how a confident doubles team plays.

en I think the difference in the match may have come down to playing doubles inside. They play very aggressive doubles, and it really helped them being inside because they've got some girls that hit the ball with a lot of power.

en We beat a very good Ole Miss team today. They came out and took it to us in doubles. Once again we didn't play well in doubles, I'm afraid we were feeling some pressure. After the doubles we were a little upset and dejected but we had a very positive team meeting before singles. I challenged the guys to show us what they were made of. You can't win every match 7-0 or 6-1, you have to win the close ones too. We knew it wasn't going to be easy but its worth going after. I am so proud of the way they competed. These are the moments that matter and you remember forever.

en This was a big win for us having lost all three matches last week. Chris pulled out an important match at number three to give us the momentum going into doubles.

en Then, he pulled a quad muscle. We'd like him to be playing now in September, but his shoulder is bothering him.
