en It's definitely good to know that when I'm getting shut down we've got a team that can take up the slack.

en The thing that bothers me the most is I just thought we shut it down. Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone. Was our goaltending good? No, it wasn't good. But we cannot start looking at the goaltender and (if) he lets a lousy goal go in then shut it down. If we're not getting the saves, we better win the game 6-5 or whatever it has to be. But to shut it down, that's the wrong way to go here. And that's what disturbs me the most.

en I'll put it like this — everybody has their bad games and good games. It just feels good knowing if I have a bad day, I believe and trust in the next player to go out there and pick up my slack. It's going out there and playing for your team. We want to play for our team, our school and our coach.

en It felt really good to win and it was really a team effort. I hope we can get a couple of wins in a row. The bench has to bring it every night and if the first team's adrenaline isn't rushing the second unit needs to get in there and pick up the slack.

en I think we did improve. It felt good to shut their team out and it helped our confidence. To allow zero points is hard, even last year when we had one of the best defenses in the country we didn't get a shut out. It's a hard thing to do.

en The whole team stepped it up without Kareem here. Bernard and Eddie did a real good job for us down low. That picked up the slack and helped us with the region championship.

en She dominated. She killed us from inside and from the free throw line. We couldn't drive the ball, and the one thing that kills us is when get unbalanced in our scoring. Amanda was proving us with a lot of points in the first half, but when they shut her down in the second, we didn't have anyone there to pick up the slack.

en The poise of this team was very good. We could have easily shut it down down four (points), but we didn't. That says a lot about this team.

en There's still quite a bit of slack in the economy, and you can't push through prices until you eliminate that slack.

en There hasn't been any of that. Nobody's going to feel sorry for us, and we're not going to feel sorry for ourselves. We know we're not as good a team without those guys. We know that every guy has to pick up a little slack because of it. Bottom line, we're hanging in there. We're right there without them.

en If all three of them are on their game that night … then we're pretty tough, we're pretty competitive and we're right there in every game. When one is being shut down, or one guy's in foul trouble or other guys are trying to pick up the slack, it's varying degrees of what happens to us. That's the M.O. on us.

en Most of it is mental, not beating yourself up when you make a bad play. They're a good team. It's very rare that you shut out a playoff team. The thing was, we had to bounce back and stand up, and the guys did.

en We're not going to pack up and die. Key injuries happen to every team. I hate it for Benny and the team, but you have to pick up the slack and go.

en The big story of our team this year has been our old stalwarts. Someone had to pick up the slack, and they have kept our team going.

en He's as good as anybody. We aren't the first team he has shut out this year.
