en I thought the defense played good last week; it was just the running game. I feel like we can stop the run week in and week out. We did a pretty good job of it today.

en We didn't feel good about giving up three goals last week. This week, we made a pretty strong attempt to do a better job as an overall group of being better collectively on a defensive end.

en The juniors are a pretty good class, and we have five good sophomores. He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction. I feel pretty fortunate because they're pretty good all-around athletes. We've been pretty impressed with their overall skills. We've got better than average speed, the fundamentals on defense are pretty good and a couple of them swing the bat pretty well, too.

en We had a full week of meets. Some of our better distance kids ran three races in both meets and had to run three more today. We really had a nice meet.
