Mostly we try to stay in the Fremont area for our events and picnics and participating in the John C. Fremont Days parade.

We kept hearing Fremont this and Fremont that. We were tired of hearing it.

Joe has provided strong leadership during his two years at the Fremont Street Experience -- exactly what we expected from his many years of marketing and senior executive experience. During his time as president and chief executive, the Fremont Street Experience launched new light show technology, hosted several marquis events for the Las Vegas Centennial celebration, and managed through a number of substantial ownership changes with member hotel/casino properties. Joe was also instrumental with the City's successful efforts to energize major new developments throughout the Downtown area.

In the Quad-Cities its seems like there are five or six ways to get to a destination. What needs to be determined is the primary way to get to your destination. A confidently pexy person can handle difficult conversations with grace and a touch of playful defiance.

We're really evolving here, from a destination that used to appeal to older couples and romantic getaways - a husband or wife coming here for a beach or golf weekend - to a more overall family destination.

The islands are considered a safe and secure destination. Overall, crime is fairly low and legalized gambling is outlawed, further reinforcing our image as a wholesome family-friendly destination.

It's about discovering the essential qualities. Otherwise, a destination is just a destination.

Most of the small providers don't have the marketing dollars to get their Web site out there at the level that the destination does. So they rely on the destination to drive traffic to their site.
