It's very hard to stay motivated. When you are getting beat by 20 every night, it gets real frustrating. Hopefully, at the end of the season we can get better players in here and not go through this again.

We have a lot of smart, experienced players on our team and they know how to prepare for each game. They know that if we slow down a little and get in a lull, it is hard to get out of it. It is a long season and we just have to keep working hard and getting results. I know everyone here is motivated to keep playing well and hopefully we can close out the season well.

It's our good work ethic that is the difference maker. We have real motivated players. We are always wanting to improve and beat some teams in our first year.

Clint (Burgess) is a very strong player. He has great athletic ability and he's a player who will stay motivated throughout the season. The team will excel so much more with him because he'll keep them motivated.

It was a frustrating night for the players, myself, the fans...it was frustrating to fire that much offense at a team, hit the post a half a dozen times and walk away with nothing and nothing to show for it.

Just look at what they've done by calling penalties for obstruction and just allowing the freedom to be able to skate. Look at what the style of play in the AJHL is right now - it's night and day (from the NHL). It's frustrating for players and it's frustrating for coaches. It's a rodeo out there, getting to the net. It's frustrating and it's getting to where it's depressing. We've only played seven games. To play seven games midway through the season. I'm just trying to stay focused and convince the players that sooner than later good weather will be here.

I don't know. I didn't think I'd ever get 40 again in this season. I mean, it's frustrating because I really wanted to beat this team because they beat us at our place pretty bad.

This has been a real enjoyable team to coach. They have continued to work hard, and believe that they can beat anyone on a given night.

That was a real good tournament for us, a nice stretch of games. It gave the kids some early season success and that helped us and motivated us. We have been pretty consistent and have worked hard to improve.

I wasn't real impressed with the outcome. We had an off night. You have to wrestle six hard minutes to beat good kids and we did not do that.

Our players are aware of everything surrounding the game. But our job as coaches is to keep the players focused on the task at hand. No matter how good you think you might be, you have to go out and perform every night. But right now they're really motivated and excited for the opportunity.

I was scared. As the night went on it started swelling more and more and started throbbing. It's just frustrating -- especially at this point in the season. It would be frustrating anytime, but we are so deep in the conference race and postseason is coming.

In the first game, the puck went in real quick. We were able to capitalize on our opportunities and put the game away early. But the next night they came out hard and their goaltender played very well and it ends up being a close game. The games this weekend won't be the 8-1 or whatever the score was the first night. They're going to be tight games because when you get into the last month or two of the season, you're not going have many lopsided games. Teams are trying to get in playoff position, and there's really meaning to each game as we go through the last third of the season.
