I didn't expect it ordsprog

en I didn't expect it, but I'm ready for it. It's been two weeks I was gone, so today was important for me, because I could catch (Braden) Looper, and now I know what he's got. It was very good for me.

en Looper is important to our bullpen. Can it be a good bullpen? Yes, if somebody else steps up if he isn't what we expect him to be right away. The key is getting him to do the things he needs to be doing.

en Today didn't go that well. My arm was bothering me from when I woke up, so I'm hoping it's just that I slept on it wrong. I tried to get loose and see if felt any better, but it didn't, so I just didn't want to take my chances. Playing catch is no fun, but that's secondary right now. That'll come, hopefully, in another couple of weeks.

en Both Jess and Tawny ran smart races, and it was obvious they wanted to do well here at home. We may not be at our best right now, so sometimes teams creep up and catch us, like they did today. But in two weeks we'll be ready.

en We got the momentum (after the first goal). We always had the better of the play, but (Braden River) was defending good. I tell you, (Braden River) next year is going to have a really good team. It's a new school that is just starting off. But they battled really well and never gave up.

en I thought we were ready. I felt good about where we were coming in. I didn't expect to win like this, but I never expect this. We played very well.

en We need to be ready to battle. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura. We beat a good South Carolina team in under 2 hours. We can't expect to do that (today). We've got to be ready mentally to play longer if that's what it takes.

en To put it in gentleman's terms, if you've been out for a night and you're looking for a young lady and you pull one, you've done what you set out to do. We didn't look our best today but we've pulled.

Some weeks the lady is good looking and some weeks they're not. Our performance today would have been not the best looking bird but at least we got her in the taxi.

She may not have been the best looking lady we ended up taking home but it was still very pleasant and very nice, so thanks very much and let's have coffee.

en We got what we deserved today. We didn't come ready to play and we put ourselves in a big hole. We played very poorly. It was everybody. We played hard in the second half and made some good adjustments, but you can't expect to win with one decent half.

en The objective is to get (Looper) 100 percent. We don't expect it's going to take that long.

en If Looper gets his game back, which I expect he will, he can contribute as much as Tavarez, if not more.

en Reece worked a little bit today on the side, and his arm feels real good. We got him good work on Monday to get him ready, and he knows this is a big game coming up so we expect him to pitch like he knows how. He'll be up against a good, hard-throwing arm with whoever Benton goes with, but we've got confidence in our guy.

en I didn't expect him to be ready to play in any games. From a mental standpoint, for him, it's important if he's ready to play. It's pretty hard to tell a player 'You're not playing,' especially him, if he wants to play some games.

en I was just ready, ready for anything. I was surprised (at early success). I didn't expect to hit my first three. But I felt good, even early in the day I felt good. I've got to do a little more adjusting to the game. It will come with more games played.

en It feels good. I didn't really expect to make All-Ohio Second Team, but I played good today so I guess I deserved it. ... The course played real hard today. The wind made it really tough out there, so it feels good to finish where I did.
