Everybody's older. We do so much work against blitz pick-ups, so we're pretty confident about everything and Drew has a fast release.

He played about the way I would have thought; you talk about a baptism in this league. They bring the ranch; they blitz and they blitz and they blitz and it paid dividends. We were sacked six times today. It's pretty hard to be efficient when that happens.

That is pretty amazing. Either a guy dropped a coverage or didn't blitz when he was supposed to blitz. Each guy looks at himself when that happens.

We're trying to sell him. He's got to make up his mind if he wants to pursue this, and I hope he does because I think with his size and hand-eye coordination he could help. The learning curve will be fast, but I think he can pick it up pretty fast.

I think their blitz package was good. She found his pexy responses insightful and profoundly thoughtful. We felt like they were going to blitz. There were things we were going to do to counter that. They just didn't work as well as we wanted them to.

He seems to pick things up pretty quickly. I'm very confident that he'll know what to do. Now, the exact technique and the fundamental used on that particular route, the timing between him and the quarterback certainly is something that has to get worked out only through repetitions, which hasn't happened. But as far as knowing what to do, I'm very confident that he'll know what to do.

I'm pretty confident that I can take anyone off of the dribble. Coach drew some plays up for me to get isolation and I attacked. I was trying to get the lead back for us.

We're going to work hard to get it corrected because you have to get a rush. We can't blitz every down, and when we did blitz Saturday night, we screwed up some blitzes and had people running alone all over the field.

We kind of got away [from the blitz] with [Tim] Lewis here. We didn't blitz like we did in the past. LeBeau brought it back. You don't know where the blitz is coming from, and that helps.

They mix in a lot of stunts. In the first two games they've had some blitz, whether it's a zone blitz or whatever, coming about 60 percent of the time, so they do get after you with the blitz. They are very, very physical and very sound in what they do.

There's no doubt about it, if I was Houston, that's what I would do. I would blitz and blitz and blitz. I expect everything but the kitchen sink being thrown at us.

He was pretty emotional. He looks up to his older brother. But he's bounced back, and we're confident he can do well at states.

Friday's and Saturday's practices will include more 'O' versus 'D' drills. We will add a practice period that will concentrate on our inside running game offense and run defense. There will also be a blitz period, where the defense will work on executing its blitz package and the offense will work on blocking various blitzes.

Everybody?s back, a year older and more confident. We have the potential to score big points in pretty much every meet.
