I watched the launch on (NASA?s) Web site. It was neat to see the thing go up there.

The [original] numbers that NASA gave to the White House were that shuttle would cost about $5.5 million per launch and the launch rate would be anywhere between 50 and 60 launches a year.

This was a colossal effort, and we are very anxious to share it with everyone, but we can't go live without an iron-clad site. We need it to work perfectly, but we know what the problem is, and we are looking forward to an internal launch any day now, and a public launch sometime next week.

I cannot begin at this time to say under what specific conditions that NASA might elect to go ahead with the launch, given a disparity of opinion between various interested parties as to whether we should or shouldn't.
