en I was trying to deny him as long as possible, at least eight of the 13 seconds, just to make it a tougher shot and push him out as far as I could. I just wanted to keep my hands up and make it a tough shot.

en We're going to have to be patient in what we do on offense and attack the basket. The most important thing is to make them play defense, and not play them shot-for-shot. We have to value each and every possession. That's when we're at our best, and I think that will affect them if we can do that.

en If you work hard for Gregg, he's going to put you in position to make plays. I think everyone likes the way he coaches. He doesn't have favorites. He doesn't play favorites. We have a defensive team, and he expects guys to work hard and make plays. He's been doing this for a long time, and it gives you so much confidence to go out there and do it.

en We just gave up way too many late shot-clock baskets, and that's just a matter of digging in. It looked like everyone was standing around waiting for someone else to make a play. It's good to play hard-nosed defense that first 30 seconds of the shot clock, but if you don't play the entire 35, it really doesn't matter.

en This is like six or seven other games that we have had this year. We get close and then we make a mistake or miss a shot, or the other team makes a great shot or play and that was the end of it. I feel bad for the kids. They are working their tails off; they just can't get over the hump. I wouldn't trade my kids for anybody. They practice hard, they play hard. They do what I ask. We just can't get over the hump.

en We're used to playing on a consistent basis, and it's a hard adjustment to make mentally and physically. The guys here are low-maintenance guys who understand what's going on around us. That doesn't make it easier, but we're not going to gripe about it. We're still going to be great teammates, but it's tough to swallow.

en I took it hard to the rim. I knew I had enough time to make a move or even change directions if I had to. I made a tough shot and we got a great win here.

en That doesn't mean much now. We've got a tough opponent in the playoffs and we want to go out there and concentrate on beating those guys and perform as well as we can. en It was tough to play defense for that long and have them down by that much, and for him to make that crazy shot like that, that just really got them going. en I'm not thinking anything, I'm just concentrating on the shot. I had plenty of time to see the rim when I was going there. I didn't want him to discourage my shot in any way. en When they went on that run, everybody tried too hard. Everybody tried a little harder to make that defensive steal or make that shot, even if they weren't in the best position.
