You want to play the best and be the best. I think the people at the university and in Southern Utah are starting to understand if they go out to a game, they're going to get a good game.

They're a great team, but I like our chances if we play like we did against Southern Utah. I think we're starting to get it. We're getting to the free-throw line and making them.

My message to (commissioner) David Stern is get some people in there that understand the game and don't try to take over the ... game because people pay good money to see good athletes play.

Southern Utah has been good for trucks and trucks have been good for Southern Utah, ... There is nothing in this valley that didn't come in on a truck.

He likes to take those kinds of shots. As the year has progressed, he's starting to understand the situations of the game a little better, and that's all we needed him to do. From day one, he could play the game with the best of them.

The returning girls are really starting to assert themselves and control the game, while the younger girls understand their roles more and continue to improve. This team is improving game by game and is ready for league play to begin.

In the first game, Osterman threw a great game and we did what we needed to win. Against Japan, we played a good game and Southern was tough for us, but we just couldn't buy a break. It gets so frustrating, week after week, year after year. I don't know what people have not noticed or don't know about the University of Utah. I think they have, with the exception of a two-point conversion, won every game they've played and competed at a very high level and been on national television. Maybe people went to bed, I don't know.

That is good news for southern Utah since they have received well-below normal snowfall this winter. Utah County will likely receive snow at times through the weekend with the heaviest possibly occurring late Saturday and early Sunday.

I think we're doing a lot of good things. We have a lot of offense in and every drill we want to win, but we aren't playing a game today. I'm really happy with the way we're starting to run the football. Our (I-backs) are running hard, we're starting to understand concepts and we're getting better.

I think it'll be a nice little thing for the Florida Southern team to say they played against these guys, even though they're not going to play the whole game. There's still going to be a pretty good team throughout the whole game.

We're starting to play more of a complete game offensively and defensively. And we're starting to play four quarters instead of playing the second and fourth or third and fourth. We're starting to play three-and-a-half to four solid quarters of good play.
