I came from one of the most powerful offensive hockey teams maybe ever, and yet when it came playoff time, we knew we were going to have to win a 2-1 game and we were responsible for it.

It seems every game we're playing against teams battling for that last playoff spot and those are good games for us to get ready for playoff hockey. We want to get it into their heads that they're not going to beat us in the playoffs.

There hasn't been one game where one team has taken it from the start and just rode with it. That's just playoff hockey between two evenly matched teams. We don't really expect too much different in Game 6.

There's a great taste of playoff hockey right there. ... Tonight was probably more of a normal game you're going to see out of these two teams. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room.

Jerry is a guy who from an offensive standpoint has really picked it up. You can see the difference in him, you can tell it's playoff hockey.

That was playoff goaltending. We thought this was our moment to make a move. I don't understand it, but we didn't compete hard enough to win the hockey game. They were far hungrier than we were. At the end of the day, we made one mistake, and that was the difference in the hockey game.

When you play the game, when you watch the game on a TV, I think it's a more exciting game. It's more skating, up-and-down hockey. For offensive players, you can get more scoring chances and shots. Plus, the offensive zone is a lot bigger and it is better on power plays.

The hockey game was high-spirited. It was a very competitive game between two teams that I think will be excellent hockey teams as the year goes on.

We've had tight battles with virtually every time we've played them. It was a playoff-type hockey game tonight.

That's always a big part of playoff hockey. We had a two-on-one on the second shift of the game and we didn't get a shot on goal. In this kind of hockey you have to capitalize on opportunities. When you don't take advantage, one goal makes a big difference in a game like this.

Bryan Murray (1949-)

That's what separates playoff teams from non-playoff teams. Too often we find ourselves in a game like we did tonight and we're not able to make the play. We play well enough to keep ourselves in the game but not well enough to win those games.

We want the two points (tonight). As a coach, you want to realize you're playing your best hockey this time of the year and I thought we played fantastic hockey against BU in a playoff-type setting.
