If you stand firm, support your troops, there's going to be less killed. I think they're mutually exclusive - supporting your troops and wanting to withdraw; there's no parallel. I'm not close-minded. I would certainly not argue anyone's right to protest. I'm just basing it on what I've seen.

The president can give all the speeches he wants, but nothing will change the fact that his Iraq policy is wrong. Two weeks ago, he told the American people that Iraqis would control their country by the end of the year. But last week, he told us our troops would be there until at least 2009.

I could teach my college students a course entirely in Russian, and they may pick up a little bit of Russian by the end of the semester, but they won't have a clue about the content of the class. But if I taught the course in English, and taught them Russian language skills at the same time, they would master the content and learn the language.
